watercolors of Italy, photographs of Italy, Italy images
Thank you for your interest in us and in our work!

We are transplanted New Yorkers who spent 30 years in Arizona where we raised our two children, before selling our home in Phoenix and moving to Italy to fulfill our dream to "live cheap and make art."

We lived in Umbria, Sicily, the Veneto and on the Amalfi Coast, spending about six months in each of those four regions, shooting and painting almost daily. (We kept a blog documenting our adventures that you can access through the link "Visit our Italy Blog" on the menu.)

We currently live in Milford, Delaware where we continue to find interesting subjects for our cameras and brushes. We are members of the Mispillion Art League in Milford and the Rehoboth Art League. Rosemary is also a member of the Delaware Watercolor Society.

About Bob: I am a photographer, a retired firefighter and photo teacher with a degree in Fine Art from Arizona State University. I took my first photographs from the open door of a helicopter in Vietnam in the 1960s and I’ve been hooked on photography ever since. I especially love to capture people in their everyday lives as well as intimate scenes of nature and the environment.

My photograph entitled "Little Nun, Good Friday, Enna" was selected to be included in an exhibition honoring the photographer Gordon Parks at the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington, Delaware.

About Rosemary: I have always been drawn to watercolors. Layers of translucent color on hand made or textured papers excites my senses and sensibilities and for the past several years I have worked to create my own works of art using this medium. I studied fine art and graphic design at Arizona State University and worked for over 20 years as a graphic designer. I specialize in watercolor journal paintings of our travels, botanical studies and creating watercolor journals, working with pen and ink and watercolor.

I love nothing better than finding an interesting subject for a painting while traveling, finding a place to sit and losing myself in my art. I try to impart a sense of joy and delight by my use of line work, interesting compositions and those layers of translucent color I enjoy so much.

About our Images: Our images are printed on acid-free archival paper using pigmented inks and are carefully packaged by us to ensure safe delivery. Original watercolors are available for some of the images on this web site. Please contact us for further information and pricing.
